Vaujany sits in its own valley, connected to but separate from Alpe d’Huez, around 50 minutes by road from Grenoble.
It is a little over an hour’s drive from Grenoble airport (EasyJet, Ryanair, Flybe, Monarch). It is approximately an hour and three quarter’s drive from Lyon Saint Exupery airport where there are more flight operators and Sunday options.
If you are driving all the way, it takes around nine hours from Calais and about seven and a half from Le Havre. It is approximately nine hours to Brussels and around six to Paris, although all times are obviously traffic and weather dependent.
For anyone coming by train, it’s very straightforward to get the TGV to either Lyon or Lyon Saint Exupery then change to a local train to Grenoble. Vaujany is then a cab or bus ride away.
For anyone flying to Grenoble airport, Bens Bus offer an affordable transfer option with some really useful information for anyone not arriving by car here.
